Trials of Two Cities
The lawyer. Seeking the truth before seeking a verdict.
Alignment: Trying to do the right thing: in the legal system and in general. (Lawful Good)
Nick works as a lawyer, and had the unfortunate luck to be assigned to the case of Scaevola the war criminal. Armed with only his wits, his judgement, and a canny sense for forgeries, Nick’s going to try to defend the indefensible.
In his spare time, he studies history and religion. It is this hobby that led Nick to learn about the truth about the goddess Helreginn, and the heretical cult of Hel. Incensed at the treatment of Helreginn by history, he’s taken it on himself to revive knowledge and interest in the goddess, and to wipe out any evil heretics who might worship the false idol that is Hel.
Nick also has a passion for languages, of which he knows several. He loves poring over tomes in study, learning the phonemes and seeing the way the sentences are structured. The Translator’s Guild gives him the opportunity to do just that, and he jumped at the opportunity to join.
